ShinAwiL is one of the largest and most successful independent production companies in Ireland. Thanks to our professional approach, we’ve been lucky to collaborate with some of the biggest names in the industry.

Set up in 1999 specialising in non-scripted entertainment, factual entertainment, live event programming and now scripted drama, ShinAwiL is the production powerhouse behind some of Ireland’s biggest entertainment series’ including The Apprentice, Dragons’ Den, MasterChef Ireland, The Voice of Ireland and most recently Dancing with the Stars Ireland. In 2009 ShinAwiL Productions Ltd., opened its first UK office and 2012 saw its first BBC NI commission, Undercover NI. 

In 2017, the company began developing a slate of scripted projects, forming fruitful partnerships with a variety of international co-producers. With projects backed by Screen Ireland, RTÉ, and various distributors and studios, we continue to produce and develop a diverse slate of prestige scripted content.

Some of our credits to date include: Miss Scarlet & The Duke for A&E International/Element 8, which premiered on PBS Masterpiece in 2021, upcoming feature film The Miracle Club with Zephyr Films and starring Dame Maggie Smith, Laura Linney & Kathy Bates, and 6 part Irish thriller Clean Sweep with Incendo (Canada) starring Charlene McKenna and Barry Ward.
